It is with great sadness that the family of Dr. Segundo Mariz announces his sudden passing away on Tuesday, July 10th, 2012 at the Hospital Puerto de Hierro in Madrid, Spain. Loving husband of Elizabeth (his Isabelita), father of Segundo, Alexander (Lindsey), and John Sebastian (Cristina), and grandfather of Isinda, Louisa, Katarina, Alistair, Alexandra and Rodrigo; he will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Segundo was Associate Director of Laboratories at St. Joseph's Medical Health Centre in Toronto for many years, lecturer in Pathology at the University of Toronto and was granted by the King of Spain the Spanish Order of Civil Merit for his dedication to the Spanish community in Canada. We shall all miss his joy of living.
