Lyle Statia
January 9, 1922 - July 15, 2012
Lyle passed away in Oakville on July 15, in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Bea [July 15, 1995] for 50 years, father of Hal of Toronto, and proud grandpa to Kacie of Whitby. Lyle served overseas with the RCAF as a tail gunner from '41 to '44, and spent his working life in business development in the retail drug business with Drug Trading, Rexall and Shoppers Drug Mart, where he was a favourite of his clients and their staff for his customer focused approach to their needs. Special thanks to the programs staff, and both the nursing and PSW staff at Trafalgar House - Northridge Long Term Care who showered him with attention and care and respect in the 10 months of his residency there. At his request there will be no funeral. For those who wish, a donation to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum (www.warplane.com).
