Passed unexpectedly while on vacation in Germany on June 28th.
Charlie was born in Kingston, ON and raised in Sudbury. He received his undergraduate training (Civil/ Sanitary Engineering) at Michigan Tech & graduate training (Occupational Health and Safety) at the University of Toronto.
In 1965, he joined Inco. He moved to the corporate office as Director of Environmental Affairs in 1977. By 1991, Charlie was elected Vice President of Environmental Health and Safety, a position he held until his retirement from Inco in 2000.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Delores, daughters Lisa (Lynn) & Heather (Ryan), son Graham (Julie), & grandchildren Haile, Jensen, Parker, Kate, Chasen and Tyler. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday July 9th from 2- 5pm at Glen Abbey Golf Club, located on 1333 Dorval Dr. Oakville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the environmental charity of your choice.
