BASSARATH, Lindley Erlan
Dr. Lindley Bassarath died suddenly on Wednesday April 4, 2012 at the age of 47. Lindley was a loving and devoted father, husband and family man. He is survived by family, friends, and colleagues who loved him dearly. In addition to being an exceptional father and family man, Lindley was a child and youth psychiatrist at CAMH Hospital. He devoted his working life to the recovery and rehabilitation of youth and believed passionately in this cause. He was born in Trinidad, West Indies but grew up in Kirkland Lake Ontario where he excelled academically and athletically. Those who knew Lindley knew he was known for his kind and gentle nature, incredible intelligence, sense of humour and love of his family, food and Star Trek. His loss is deeply felt. A private service was held at St. John's Norway on April 9, 2012. The family would ask that in lieu of flowers any donations be made to CAMH Foundation in his memory at www.supportcamh.ca under Donate Now.
