CARLSON, Robert I. (Bob)
Peacefully at St. Peter's Hospital, Hamilton, on Thursday, November 5th 2009, in his 77th year. Bob was a loving father and grandfather, and will be dearly missed by his son Michael of Alberta, his daughter Catherine (Cathy) Arthur and her husband Rick of Waterloo, his grandchildren Valerie, Siobhan, Tom, Hugh and Meaghan. Bob was an avid member of the Southern Ontario Soaring Association for over 40 years, and served as Presidents of both S.O.S.A and the Soaring Association of Canada. In addition, he served as an instructor at S.O.S.A, a President of the Royal Aero Club of Canada and represented Canada at the F.A.I Sport Aviation Meetings. He will be fondly remembered by his many friends and acquaintances. A Memorial Gathering will be held at SMITHS FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light North of QEW) BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Tuesday, November 10th, 2009 from 5-8pm. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy to the Kidney Foundation of Ontario would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
