DYER, Bessie (nee Rubbra)
It is with extreme sadness we announce the passing of Bessie (Betty) Dyer on Monday, July 6, 2009 in her 100th year; formerly of Toronto, Sarnia, Bala and Burlington, Ontario. Beloved wife of the late F. Frank Dyer. Dear mother of F. Robert (Ann) Dyer of Ottawa, Dr. A. Douglas (Janet) Dyer of Victoria, and G. Elliott (Marianne) Dyer of Oakville. Grandmother of Jennifer (Christopher) Calhoun, Eric Dyer, Douglas E. (Adrienne) Dyer, Cory (Melanie) Dyer, Sandra (Farhad) Ramezani, John Dyer and Robert E. (Lesley) Dyer. Great- grandmother of Katherine, Ariel, Colin, Megan and Marlayna. Sister of the late Alfred Rubbra and the late Ida Rubbra. She will be sadly missed by her extended family and friends. Throughout her life, Betty was an active member of IODE and the Central United Church UCW in Sarnia. The family thanks the many people who have supported Betty, and offer special thanks and appreciation to the medical and personal care staff at the Waterford Extended Care Residence (Oakville) for the excellent care received. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 12 noon on Monday, July 13, 2009 until the time of service at one o'clock. A reception will follow in the Rosedale Room.
