ARPIN, John
December 3, 1936 November 8, 2007 IN MEMORY JOHN ARPIN: In loving memory of John Arpin - loving husband, father and grandfather, brilliant pianist, composer, and arranger. Two years ago we had to say good-bye. Anniversary reactions, such a powerful force emerging with purposeful effort to have us acknowledge our loss and the uniqueness of a being. John, like the Rogers and Hart lyric.. 'Time is in fact a healer...but it cannot fully heal my heart..... Though the miles lie between us.... your fingers touch my own... and You're never far away from me, For you're too much my own.... You're nearer.....nearer than the ivy to the wall is, nearer than the winter to the fall is, But when you're away, You'll know you're nearer...'. For we, your wife, your children, grandchildren, the oh so numerous fans and friends.... continue to love you so and fondly recall that full engaging presence. We know you are nearer.....with music in our souls...as it heals us and stays on our breath.... John, today and every day we remember your charming, authentic character, those wonderful musical and anecdotal tributes... all like it's nearer... like the lingering presence of an old familiar tune..... Love Always Mary Jane
