MARTY WISE (1946 - 1969) Forty years ago today on November 7, 1969 my brother Marty died suddenly at the age of 23 in Toronto after a difficult journey along the Mediterranean. There are many explanations for the death of such a brilliant and promising young doctor. Some say he died for love, or maybe from the pain of loss, or maybe even in enlightenment, without ego. But I say that he died of youth. Being young, he could only see the present and not beyond. He did not yet understand that life always moves in cycles, in waves that ebb and flow, in lows and highs, often gently, but sometimes with tremendous force, like the powerful tides of the ocean. In loving memory of a dear and generous soul who taught us this profound lesson... the hard way. Your brothers, your friends and the many nieces and nephews you never knew miss you kiddo. IN MEMORIUM
