In our feature interview, we talk to Moose Jaw Warriors Defenseman, and New York Islanders 08 draft pick, Travis Hamonic. Travis tells us what the Islanders training camp is like and his experience at Team Canada’s World Junior summer camp.

Our insiders are back to give us their look into the OHL, WHL and the Q. OHL insider Jim Cressman speaks more on the Mike Liambis-Ben Fanelli situation. Rick “the bear” Wile discusses WHL prospects named by NHL Central Scouting, and Stephane Leroux speaks on the Q’s early success in the Super Series.

Our Jr A spotlight this week focused on Jeremy Franklin, veteran forward for the Wellington Dukes in the CCHL. Jeremy speaks on his experience of being Canada East’s captain in the World Jr A Challenge last year and his leadership role on the Central Division Champion Wellington Dukes.

And finally, we have the Globesports.com Player of the Week! The winner is- Matt Calvert of the Brandon Wheat Kings! This past week Calvert recorded 11 points in just 3 games. Calvert’s week was capped off by a career-high 6-point game in a victory over Regina!
