Banks promise pleasant surprises
Canada’s banks are expected to post pleasant surprises when they begin reporting their 2009 earnings next week. Buoyed by strong capital markets performance, the six big banks are expected to exceed expectations as they roll out fourth quarter and year-end results. Bank of Montreal kicks off the earnings parade on Nov. 24.
