TransCanada forecasts major growth

Calgary — Natural gas shipper and power producer TransCanada Corp. is forecasting major growth between now and 2013.The Calgary-based firm says it expects its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization to grow from $4-billion this year to about $6.5-billion in 2013 – an increase of 60 per cent.Funds from operations of $3-billion this year are expected to grow 50 per cent to $4.5-billion four years from now.
