OPTI plans private placement financing
Calgary — OPTI Canada Inc. said Monday it intends to make a $425-million (U.S.) private placement offering of senior secured notes to fund a review of its strategic alternatives process.The Calgary-based junior oil sands company said the financing will establish enough liquidity and flexibility to go forward with the previously announced review.
