Biovail third-quarter profit falls
Toronto — Biovail Corp.'s profit fell to $40.4-million (U.S.) in the third quarter, as the impact of special items offset a 17.3-per-cent increase in revenue generated by the Canadian pharmaceutical company's products.The Toronto-area drug developer and manufacturer said Thursday that its revenue increased to $212.5-million, from $181.1-million in the third quarter of 2008.
