Trade headed for upswing?

In the midst of a recession, Canada continues to generate a trade surplus and it is likely to improve later this year, strategists say. The merchandise trade surplus in April, scheduled for release today, is forecast at $1-billion, compared with $1.1-billion in March, according to a survey of economists by Bloomberg.
