Championing the future of a national champion
gpitts@globeandmail.comOutsourcing giant CGI Group Inc., GIB.A-T and its executive chairman and founder Serge Godin, don't get a lot of profile. In fact, CGI experienced a rare moment in the spotlight late last year when Barack Obama commented at a Virginia event that CGI is a local Virginia company. But Mr. Godin would like his 32-year-old company to have a different kind of cachet - as a global champion in IT services based in Canada.
