New Alitalia takes off amid protests
ROME —
The new Alitalia took off Tuesday but workers marred its launch with protests in Rome and Milan that caused some flight cancellations and delays.
Chairman Roberto Colaninno played down the protests as “last demonstrations that are just a small part of the problems that we've had to face with the unions.
