Air Canada, WestJet post record load factors

Canada's two major air carriers defied the stalling economy and wild Christmas weather to achieve record load factors – the proportion of available seats filled by paying customers – for the second month in a row in December. However, Air Canada's showing reflected a big cut in capacity, while smaller rival WestJet Airlines Ltd.
