Crisis triggers tough times ahead for Iceland

REYKJAVIK — With a $10-billion (U.S.) aid package in hand, Iceland is setting to work on fixing its economy and easing the plight of tens of thousands of citizens. The crisis the country is facing stems from the collapse of its banks and currency. The banks are slowly being rebuilt, but the krona has effectively ceased trading, creating headaches for importers.
