Aluminum touches three-year low

LONDON — Aluminum touched a three-year low on Tuesday, before tracking equities higher, while a poor demand outlook for metals continued to dampen sentiment. Zinc, mainly used to galvanize steel, rose 6.5 per cent as investors covered their short positions and the world's largest producer, Nyrstar, decided to cut back production.
