Bombardier wins $101-million Danish contract, shares soar
MONTREAL Bombardier Inc. shares surged more than 40 per cent early Tuesday, regaining some of the losses in recent weeks caused by what analysts regard as excessive selling.
The plane and train maker's shares peaked at $5.04 on the Toronto Stock Exchange, before dipping to $4.25, a gain of 21.4 per cent on the day so far.
Over the last month, Bombardier's shares have sunk as low as $3.17 after peaking in September at $8.40.
