Court to announce ABCP decision Friday
The Supreme Court of Canada will announce Friday whether it will hear a challenge to the $32-billion asset-backed commercial paper restructuring.
Challengers to the plan have sought a hearing by the high court in hopes of overturning two lower-court decisions that said the ABCP plan can go ahead.
The court said in a statement it will announce on Friday at 4:30 p.m. (ET) whether it will hear the case.
