Weak economy hurts TLC Vision results

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Weakening economic conditions were a drag on laser vision correction revenues at TLCVision Corp., pulling the eye-care services company to a second-quarter net loss of $2.2-million from year-ago earnings of $900,000. The U.S.-based company, which is headquartered in St. Louis but trades its stock on the TSX, said its loss was four cents per diluted share, compared to earnings of one cent per share for the prior-year period.
