No easy answer to MDA sale

OTTAWA — The pressure is on the Harper government to refuse the sale to a U.S. company of a division of MacDonald Dettwiler and Associates, maker of the Canadarm and some sophisticated satellites. Is denying the deal a solution? Critics contend that world-beating technology, partly financed with taxpayers' money, would slip from Canada's grasp and that both jobs and sovereignty are at stake.
