Is the Congo mining review a cash grab?
OTTAWA — It would be easy to dismiss the Democratic Republic of the Congo's decision to renegotiate mining contracts as yet another cash grab by a greedy government anxious to get a greater share of high mineral prices. Indeed, that is the interpretation that the affected mining companies, including some with Canadian ties, would like you to have.
