A 'decline-like feel' spreads across the country

Washington — Even for Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen, who will earn more than $30-million (U.S.) this year, greenbacks aren't good enough. She's demanding to be paid in euros. She's not alone. The dollar has tumbled more than 20 per cent on a trade-weighted basis since it peaked in 2001, and the fall may not be over. Everyone, it seems, is griping. Foreign central banks, including China's, are looking to shift to other currencies.
