Copper falls to one-month low

LONDON — Copper tumbled to a one-month low on Monday as worries about the deteriorating health of the U.S. economy and credit markets sparked selling of risky assets. Expectations of falling demand globally for base metals and declines on stock markets pushed down London-listed miners such as BHP Billiton, Xstrata, Rio Tinto and copper miner Kazakhmys by more than 3.5 per cent.
