Aeroplan CEO defends new points system
Aeroplan Income Fund's new rewards system is a hit with many of its members who are willingly paying more miles to catch flights, the loyalty program's chief executive officer says.
Rupert Duchesne says ever since Aeroplan introduced its “unlimited seat selection” system on Oct. 16, travellers who would otherwise be shut out of a flight have chosen to pay a premium.
He played down complaints from some consumers that the new redemption levels are excessive.
