Penn West Energy Trust PWT.UN-T plans to convert to a corporation some time in 2012, the firm's chief executive officer said yesterday at the oil and gas producer's annual meeting in Calgary. Federal rules that would tax income trusts at a rate similar to corporations are set to come into effect in 2011.
