Wary shoppers point to sharp drop in outlook

OTTAWA, TORONTO -- As sales of Miele Ltd. appliances have been hit by the tightening economy, the company has seen its Canadian inventories of high-end dishwashers, stoves and refrigerators rise by as much as 15 per cent to between $20-million and $25-million.
