How our loonie crashed the commodities party

Commodity prices and the Canadian dollar are bouncing around in a way that's taking a lot of the fun out of investing in commodity stocks.Both gold and oil prices have soared this year, but the performance of stocks, mutual funds and exchange-traded funds in these sectors has in many cases been disappointing. Blame the dollar, said Nick Barisheff, president of Bullion Management Group, which runs the TSX-listed Millennium Bullion Fund.
