The Board of Trustees of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is delighted to announce that, effective Dec. 1, Dr. Catherine Zahn will become President and CEO.
A practicing neurologist dedicated to improving quality of life for people living with illness, Dr. Zahn served as EVP Clinical Programs and Practice at the University Health Network and Professor at U of T’s Faculty of Medicine. Internationally recognized in neurologic education, she is a strategic and imaginative leader who has made numerous contributions to health care in Ontario.
Dr. Zahn’s track record in hospital integration and her leadership of the renaissance of the Toronto Western Hospital, with a redevelopment project that included the Krembil Neuroscience Centre, are recent accomplishments in a 25-year career that has prepared her well to lead CAMH’s bold transformational mandate.
CAMH is Canada's leading mental health and addiction teaching hospital and research centre. Committed to transforming lives, CAMH is redeveloping its outmoded Queen St. site into a mixed-use ‘urban village’, centred on care.
