Darren Entwistle, TELUS President and CEO, is pleased to announce the appointment of Janet Yale as Executive Vice-President, Government and Regulatory Affairs. Based in Ottawa, Janet will lead the creation and execution of key strategies that facilitate TELUS’ growth and entry into new markets. Janet will also provide executive support for our sales efforts in the Ottawa region and manage our relationships with all government, regulatory and public bodies.

Janet was president of the Canadian Cable Television Association prior to joining TELUS. With more than 20 years of government and regulatory experience, Janet has held senior leadership positions at AT&T Canada, the CRTC and the Consumer’s Association of Canada. In 2002, the Canadian Women in Communications organization named Janet “Woman of the Year”.

In addition to a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University, Janet holds a Bachelor of Law and a Master of Economics from the University of Toronto, and was called to the Ontario Bar in April 1983. She is actively involved in the United Way, the National Arts Centre and the Ottawa Hospital.
