Paul Lucas, President and CEO of GlaxoSmithKline Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of Sue West to the position of Vice-President, Global Manufacturing and Supply (GMS) – Canada, leading the company’s production, logistics, engineering, quality control and quality assurance groups.
Ms. West began her career with GlaxoSmithKline (South Africa) in 1988, and has since held a number of roles throughout the manufacturing, logistics and commercial areas of the organization. Most recently, Ms. West held the position of Director of Production, driving significant change at GMS Canada by utilizing her strong background in lean manufacturing practices.
Under her leadership, GlaxoSmithKline’s Canadian GMS site will continue to thrive as a global supplier of GlaxoSmithKline medicines.
Ms. West holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Rhodes University (South Africa) and a Master’s degree from Cambridge University (United Kingdom).
