Chris Carty, executive vice-president, corporate strategy and chief marketing officer, is pleased to announce the appointment of Shawn Thomas as vice-president, communications. Based in Vancouver, Shawn will be responsible for developing and implementing best-in-class communications activities and relationships with TELUS employees, the media and other key stakeholders across Canada.
Shawn brings to TELUS extensive communications and public affairs experience. Most recently, he was senior vice-president of marketing, communications and public affairs with BC Hydro. Previously, Shawn served in senior and executive communications positions throughout the BC Government. Shawn holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Studies from Queen's University.
