Darren Entwistle, President and CEO of TELUS Corporation, is pleased to announce the appointment of Joseph (Joe) Grech as Executive Vice President and President, Global Trading and Partner Solutions.

Joe brings 15 years of international experience to this position including sales, marketing, business development, engineering, product management and regulatory expertise.

Joe joins TELUS from Cable & Wireless in the UK, where he was President, Global Carrier Services, responsible for C&W's Global IP and wholesale revenues. While at C&W, Joe led a worldwide team delivering Internet backbone access and managed data services. Joe also created the business plan for the largest merger in UK history, combining Mercury Communications with three UK-based cable companies to create Cable & Wireless Communications.

Joe has also held senior management positions at Mercury Communications, AT&T Canada and Nortel. Raised and educated in Toronto, where he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto, he returns to Canada to develop TELUS into the leading provider of Internet protocol (IP) and data services to TELUS carrier, wireless, reseller, cable and Internet service provider customers.
