Stikeman Elliott LLP is pleased to announce the appointment of the following new partners and counsel to the firm.

Bruno Barrette is a new partner in the Montreal office, where he will lead the Intellectual Property Group. Bruno focuses on all aspects of intellectual property, including prosecution, licensing, co-branding, transfer, distribution and enforcement (infringement and unfair competition).

Eric Carmona has joined the firm as a partner in the Real Estate Group and will be based in the Toronto office. Eric practises in the area of commercial real estate and has significant transactional experience in portfolio acquisitions, financings and restructurings. He joins the firm along with associates Jonathan See and Corinne Pruzanski.

David Lefebvre is a new partner in the Calgary office. David practises corporate and securities law in a broad range of industry sectors, with an emphasis on national and international M&A, capital markets transactions, and corporate governance and risk management matters. He also has considerable expertise with income trusts, corporate reorganizations, restructurings and spin-offs.

John E. Stark has joined the firmís Vancouver office as senior counsel in the Corporate Law Group. John advises on securities and corporate finance matters, on public and private M&A and financings, and on company law issues.
