The Board of Directors of ARC Resources Ltd. (“ARC”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Myron M. Stadnyk to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2013.
Mr. Stadnyk has over 25 years of diverse experience in the oil and gas industry, and has led ARC’s operations team since 1997. He has held the position of Chief Operating Officer of the Company since 2005, and President and Chief Operating Officer since 2009. Mr. Stadnyk has had strategic oversight for the transition of ARC from a non-operating oil and gas entity in 1997, to one which today operates over 90 per cent of its production. During his tenure, ARC has delivered profitable growth; increasing its production from approximately 9,500 boe per day to 93,000 boe per day at present. Mr. Stadnyk’s extensive industry knowledge and leadership expertise will provide great value as he leads ARC into its next stage of growth.
Mr. Stadnyk is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan, and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program.
ARC Resources Ltd. is one of Canada’s largest conventional oil and gas companies, with an enterprise value of approximately $8 billion. ARC expects 2013 oil and gas production to average 93,000 – 97,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day from its properties in Western Canada. ARC’s common shares trade on the TSX under the symbol ARX.
