Scotiabank is pleased to announce the appointment of Gail Smith to the position of Senior Vice-President, Business Products & Services. In her new position, Ms. Smith will be responsible for the Bank’s business deposit products and a broad range of electronic banking services, including cash/treasury management and payment and remittance services.
Ms. Smith joined Scotiabank in 1982 and has held various positions of increasing responsibilities in the area of Audit and Finance. In 1992, she joined the Investment Bank as Senior Vice-President, Front Office Development. In 2002, Ms. Smith was appointed CIO of e-Scotia with responsibilities for the Bank’s e-Commerce technology development. A graduate of Dalhousie University, she holds an MBA and is currently representing the Bank on the Canadian Payments Association Board.
