The Board of Directors of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario is pleased to announce the appointment of David Sculthorpe as CEO. Mr. Sculthorpe will be joining the Foundation effective August 3, 2009.
Mr. Sculthorpe was president of Cadbury Adams Inc., where he oversaw the integration of Cadbury Trebor Allan Inc. and Adams Canada to create Canada's largest confectionary company.
Prior to this, Mr. Sculthorpe lived and worked in South America and the USA, leading Warner Lambert Co., and a division of Pfizer Inc.
Mr. Sculthorpe is chair of the Queen's University School of Business advisory board, where he provides fundraising leadership, and is also chair of PREVnet, a national network committed to stop bullying.
He is vice-chair of the Soulpepper Theatre Company Board of Directors, and is a past board member of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society.
The Heart and Stroke Foundation, a volunteer-based health charity, leads in eliminating heart disease and stroke, and reducing their impact through the advancement of research and its application, the promotion of healthy living and advocacy.
