Darren Entwistle, President and CEO of TELUS Corporation, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Schnarr to Executive Vice President, Business Marketing, in addition to his role as Executive Vice President, Ventures.
Effective immediately, Mark takes the helm of the newly merged Business Marketing team, responsible for delivering winning data and Internet Protocol (IP) solutions to the Canadian business marketplace.
Mark joined BC TEL as a Product Manager in 1980 and subsequently held senior management positions in the Portable Communications Division, BC TEL Mobility, and the Business Division. In 1988, he was appointed Vice President and General Manager responsible for the start-up of BC TEL Systems Support Inc. In 1995, he was named Vice President and General Manager, BC TEL Enhanced Services, and in 1996, Vice President and General Manager, BC TEL Interactive. After the BC TEL/TELUS merger in 1999, he assumed the role of Vice President, TELUS Internet Services.
Mark received his bachelor of arts (marketing) degree from the School of Business Administration and Economics, Simon Fraser University, and has his Canadian Securities Course Certificate. He is a member of the board for the TELUS New Media and Broadcast Fund, Soltrus, Pacific Place Communications, and Science World.
