Scotiabank is pleased to announce the appointment of Jane Rowe to the position of Executive Vice-President, Domestic Personal Lending and Insurance, and President and CEO, Scotia Mortgage Corporation.

In her new position, Ms. Rowe will be responsible for consumer, small business and commercial automotive lending. This includes mortgages, credit cards, retail loans, automotive finance and indirect lending, as well as the Dealer Finance Centres, risk management, and integrated business solutions. She will also have responsibility for domestic insurance services, including creditor insurance.

Ms. Rowe joined Scotiabank in 1987, and progressed through various positions including corporate finance, loan audit, private equity and risk management. Most recently, she was President and CEO, Roynat Capital, a member of the Scotiabank Group and Canada’s leading merchant bank specializing in innovative capital and business solutions for mid-sized companies.

Ms. Rowe holds an MBA from York University and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Memorial University of Newfoundland. She sits on the External Advisory Board for the University of Guelph Centre for Studies in Leadership, as well as the Board of Directors for Sierra Wireless Corporation.
