Scotiabank is proud to announce the appointment of James McPhedran to the position of Managing Director and Head of the Scotia Private Client Group, a member of the Scotiabank Group. In his new position, Mr. McPhedran will oversee the Private Client Group offices located across Canada, which provide a full range of services for high net worth individuals, including investment management, brokerage, trust and private banking.
James joined Scotiabank 10 years ago and has held progressively senior roles in Wealth Management, and Marketing. Most recently, Mr. McPhedran held the position of Managing Director and Head of the Wealth Management Products and Services Group.
Mr. McPhedran holds an Honours Degree in Economics and Politics from Queens University and has completed the Securities Industry Institute program from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. McPhedran is currently Vice-Chair of the Board for the Canadian Marketing Association.
