Paul Lucas, President and CEO of GlaxoSmithKline Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of Patrick McGrade to the position of Vice President, Legal Affairs and Corporate Secretary.
Mr. McGrade will lead GSK’s Legal Affairs Division and champion the company’s commitment to performance with integrity and strong corporate governance. His appointment to the Executive Team signals GSK’s ongoing commitment to corporate accountability.
Mr. McGrade has over 10 years of legal experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries where he has demonstrated strong leadership qualities. He has practiced law with two Toronto-based law firms specializing in business and health law.
Prior to his most recent appointment, Mr. McGrade was General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Director, Federal Policy at GSK where he led the development of the company’s corporate governance framework and several public policy initiatives.
Mr. McGrade studied Public Policy and Administration at York University and obtained his Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School.
