Executive Managing Director, Scotia Capital and U.S. Country Head

Scotiabank is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen McDonald to the position of Executive Managing Director, Scotia Capital and U.S. Country Head. In his new position, Mr. McDonald will be responsible for Scotia Capital’s corporate lending and relationship management in the United States, as well as managing, developing and expanding the Bank’s presence in that market.
Prior to joining Scotiabank, Mr. McDonald held a number of senior positions at TD Bank Financial Group including Chief Executive Officer, TD Waterhouse Group Inc., and Vice-Chairman, TD Bank. He also played a significant role in TD’s U.S. corporate banking operations.
Mr. McDonald has a Bachelor of Laws and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Western Ontario and is a member of the Executive Committee of Western’s Richard Ivey School of Business. He is also a director of Rogers Cable Inc.
