Scotiabank is pleased to announce the appointment of Barbara Mason to the position of Executive Vice-President, Marketing, Sales and Service. In her new position, Ms. Mason is responsible for the overall brand positioning of the Bank, sales and service, customer segment management, and all components of marketing. She is also responsible for the Bank’s employee recognition program, Applause.

Ms. Mason joined Scotiabank in 1982 as a branch location analyst in the retail bank, and held progressively more senior positions before becoming Vice-President, Credit Cards, in 1991. In 1996, she was appointed Senior Vice-President, Retail Marketing. Most recently, Ms. Mason was Managing Director and Head, Domestic Marketing, Sales and Service. She holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies (Honours) from the University of Waterloo, and is also a graduate of the Queen’s University Executive Program (1992). Ms. Mason is a board member with the Toronto Board of Trade, as well as Toronto’s Ronald McDonald House.
