HSBC Bank Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Paulo Maia as President and Chief Executive Officer, based in Vancouver.
Mr. Maia joined HSBC in 1993, and has held executive positions in each of the bank's main business lines: Commercial Banking; Global Banking and Markets; and Retail Banking and Wealth Management. Mr. Maia has worked in Brazil, the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia. He was previously Deputy Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Bank Brazil, and most recently, Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Bank Australia.
