Pierre Duhaime, President and CEO of SNC-Lavalin Group Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Mackintosh to the position of Executive Vice-President and member of the Office of the President, effective August 3, 2011. Mr. Mackintosh assumes responsibility for SNC-Lavalin’s chemicals and petroleum operations worldwide. He is based in Calgary, Alberta.
Mr. Mackintosh has over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with an extensive background in both technical capacities and project management in Canada and internationally. He has a strong foundation in the offshore upstream and downstream O&G industry, and has held senior management positions, including as Executive General Manager and President & CEO, in a number of international industrial service companies, most recently expanding his firm’s presence in North America and overseeing major contracts such as Suncor, Shell Canada and Canadian Natural Resources.
Mr. Mackintosh holds a Master of Science in Project Management from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Association of Project Managers (UK) and a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (UK), and was awarded the latter’s prestigious “Chartered Manager of the Year – Overseas” prize in 2011. He is also a member of the Industry Advisory Committee for the government’s Productivity Alberta initiative, and has published a number of articles in Canada.
Mr. Mackintosh brings to this position a broad understanding of the chemicals and petroleum sector, both in Canada and abroad, and a strong record of successful growth. His highly disciplined approach and clear vision will contribute significantly to SNC-Lavalin’s leadership in this domain.
Jean Beaudoin, formerly responsible for SNC-Lavalin’s chemicals and petroleum division, is now Executive Vice-President of Integrated Management Systems, and remains a member of the Office of the President. In this newly created corporate role, he will oversee all project support services worldwide for the company’s existing and future operations.
