Paul Lucas, President and CEO of GlaxoSmithKline Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of Cheryl MacDiarmid as Vice-President, Sales.
Ms. MacDiarmid will lead the company’s Canadian sales activities and oversee one of Canada’s leading pharmaceutical sales forces.
Since joining GSK in 1993, Ms. MacDiarmid has held increasingly progressive roles within the company’s Sales, Marketing and Medical Affairs divisions, including Director of Marketing for Primary Care and Secretary for the company’s International Management Team. Most recently, Ms. MacDiarmid held the position of Regional Sales Director for Ontario.
With more than 15 years experience in sales and marketing, Ms. MacDiarmid has been instrumental in launching a number of key brands in the Canadian maret and notably in building the company’s respiratory franchise.
Ms. MacDiarmid received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Toronto, and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business.
