Spencer Stuart is pleased to announce that John Koopman has joined the Toronto office as a Vice President and member of the firm’s Global Industrial Practice. Mr. Koopman joins Spencer Stuart with extensive recruiting experience.
Mr. Koopman is a lawyer and a member of the Law Societies of Upper Canada and Alberta. He also spent eight years as an international strategy consultant primarily in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
For six years, John served with Mexx, a branded international clothing retailer in various executive positions in The Hague and Paris, France.
John is an active commentator and student of business and public policy issues and has had his articles printed in publications as diverse as The Globe and Mail, National Post, Ottawa Citizen, MacLeans Magazine, Journal of Commerce, and Canadian Manager.
He received his LLB from Queen’s University in Kingston in 1980, and received an MBA (Honours) from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland in 1985. He speaks English, French, and Dutch.
