Stikeman Elliott LLP announces the appointment of Jay Kellerman as Managing Partner of the firm’s Toronto office.
Jay Kellerman, a specialist in securities and M&A law, heads the firm’s Global Mining Group. Recognized as one of the world’s leading mining lawyers, Mr. Kellerman will continue in his practice as he leads the Toronto office.
Mr. Kellerman succeeds Rod Barrett, a senior partner in the firm’s Corporate Group, who steps down after 13 years as Managing Partner. Mr. Barrett is also stepping down from the firm’s Partnership Board, and Executive and Toronto Management Committees. Mr. Barrett will continue his practice, which focuses on private equity, negotiated transactions, debt and equity financings, and a wide range of banking matters.
Jay Kellerman and Brad Grant join André J. Roy (Montréal), Stuart McCormack (Ottawa), Ross MacDonald (Vancouver), Kenneth Ottenbreit (New York), Derek Linfield (London) and Brian Hansen (Sydney), Managing Partners in the firm’s other national and international offices.
